Which CPR or First Aid class do I need?

It depends on your role.

  • Heartsaver® courses are for parents, caregivers, teachers, students, and workplace responders.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required for healthcare and dental professionals.

If you’re unsure, choose Heartsaver CPR, First Aid & AED, our most popular option.

Do you offer in-person and hybrid classes?

Yes. We offer in-person instructor-led classes as well as a hybrid option that combines online learning through the American Heart Association with an in-person skills session.

What is the hybrid (HeartCode®) option?

The hybrid option allows you to complete the online portion on the American Heart Association website, then attend an in-person skills test at MyCPRHero. Certification is issued after successful skills completion.

Will I receive an official certification card?

Yes. Upon successful completion, you will receive an American Heart Association eCard, accepted by employers and licensing agencies nationwide.

How long is my certification valid?

Most AHA CPR and First Aid certifications are valid for two years. Renewal courses are available.

Do I receive my certification the same day?

For in-person classes, eCards are typically issued the same day.

For hybrid courses, eCards are issued after the in-person skills session is completed.

Are your classes employer-accepted?
